My mother wanted to join an European social platform. She's 79 and she'd heard good things about it.

To get in, she had to hold her ID up to a camera and film her own face while a system compared the two.

She got as far as the camera and stopped.

Then she asked me:
"And tomorrow? Who's holding the phone then?"

Seven and a half words. Verification is a moment. Access is a state. Everything between the two is either trust or nothing at all — and that gap is where most of this industry currently lives.

She never signed up.

She found the flaw in about four seconds, and I'd been arguing it in whitepapers for a year.

If Oma understands it, everyone does.

hashID is how you get to be yourself, without having to explain yourself.
And you live it every day. With your people. And with everything you do.
