That's not a prediction. It's the readiness assessment presented at EIC 2026 by the Digital Identity and Wallet Observatory at Politecnico di Milano, based on a census of 306 identity systems across the Union.

The regulation is fixed. The calendar is fixed. The readiness is not.

Twelve months from now, the question won't be who shipped on time. It'll be who shipped something people actually open.
